5 Things to give hope to the world in new year 2021!

This year, 2020 has been gruesome for all! Not kidding, yes for Introverts too! The people of the house going out, giving the space introverts wanted was taken away! They were forced to have family interaction and engagement. On the other note, the pandemic has made 2020 a black year in the calendar of all Millenials. Still, with this grilling year coming to end with 31 December, we are hoping for a ray of sunshine in the coming year.


1) Vaccine


This is the happiest news one can expect in 2021. With every major institution and country running in the race of creating a vaccine. Vaccines from Oxford, Pfizer, Novavax, Moderna, Sinovac and many more, in the best contenders of final shots that you may receive. With many of them claiming with 90% efficacy is a piece of good news. The vaccines are being rolled out for Frontline workers in US and UK. We do hear a news one or the other day on the side-effects of the vaccine and people being sceptical given the vaccine was developed at such a rapid pace. The new strain emerged in the UK should not be a blocker for the success of these vaccines. But we are keeping our fingers crossed that soon in 2021, All will have access to the vaccine shot which is safe and efficient. We can be together again with our loved ones without any worry. 2) Cryptocurrency Expansion


The world is a happier place for cryptocurrency lovers in 2021. The cryptocurrency is receiving more validation over the world. The allegations of the bitcoin bubble are fading away. Sky-rocketing prices in 2020 have already caused some attention of the masses, where it is believed to grow further. S&P Dow Jones will launch Crypto Indexes adding more validation to the firms running on the very base of cryptocurrency. With increasing in crypto exchanges, governments are thinking to frame laws for the tax on profits earned via crypto accounts. No matter how many strategist and financial leaders claim no future for cryptocurrency, but it looks like taking a shape with the world as its bank.


3) MARS and MOON missions

Remember Chandrayaan-2? How the world had an eye on India for a task never done before. ISRO will be back in action with Chandrayaan-3 for what could not have been achieved in 2nd Moon Mission. Much awaited Gaganyaan too is scheduled this year. It is a big year for ISRO in terms of so many first where we will see many projects as a part of a collaboration between private players and ISRO. NASA’s rover Perseverance will land on Mars, as will the missions designed by the UAE and China. The James Webb Telescope, the largest and most powerful space telescope ever built is another exciting launch slated for 2021. Soon after NASA SpaceX Crew-1 astronauts return to Earth in May, NASA SpaceX Crew-2 Mission with four astronauts will head to the International Space Station (and stay aboard for six months).


4) Tokyo Olympics, EURO 2020, F1 and ICC WT20 WC


Japan is prepping up for the much-awaited event of the world, Summer Olympics. It's the time nations look up to see their hard-working athletes winning the glory for the country. It has been a tough year for athletes and players due to mental and physical stress. But soon we will be celebrating the spirits of sports and major events are lined up in 2021. Football lovers waiting for EURO 2020, cricket lovers awaiting major ICC event and various outdoor events across the calendar.


5) Lifestyle goes back to Normal with new habits


We will soon resume life as before but new habits that we have learnt in 2020 -

  • Watching movies and drama in theatres, eating out and exploring places with masks on for some time and with more caution.

  • Travelling and staying in Hotels will be more incentivised than ever before to promote tourism.

  • 2020 marked as an era of emerging investors where the millennial population took up an interest in investing money.

  • WFH can be new normal or a choice rather than luxury like before.

  • OTT platforms will continue to be a rage in 2021 with lots of content to offer in the coming future.

Conclusion


The pandemic has been the major highlight, but this year has been a cruel one of all. From bushfires in Australia to Black Lives Matter protest, Beirut blast to plane crashes, Millions of lives have been lost this year. We can just pray for the families who have suffered the most bearing the loss. Let's start the new year with great hopes and aspirations. Hope to see a new world from now on... Welcome, 2021!
